Unguja Lodge
Unguja Resort is an up market small scale hotel in Kizimkazi on the southern
tip of Zanzibar. We offer you a true Zanzibar experience while enjoying a luxurious and relaxed
atmosphere. Ten spacious private bungalows. From your ocean view terrace you can watch the
local fishermen sailing the Indian Ocean. A breathtaking sunrise and sunset is yours.
All bungalows are beautifully decorated in Zanzibar style. In our beautiful garden
with old mango and baobab trees many indigenous animals find their home. The rare
Red Colobus monkeys often come and play. A nature trail takes you
to the white beach.
At our house reef in front of the resort you can enjoy beautiful coral, a
diversity of tropical fish and other spectacular sea-life. A traditional dhow can take you
to more remote locations. There you meet the big ones such as reef sharks, barracudas
and sometimes even a whale shark. From September until December humpback whales are
often seen. The Zanzibar's first PADI 5-star dive centre One Ocean operates the
diving and snorkeling activities. Whether you are an experienced diver or a
novice, the instructors give you the opportunity to discover the stunning
undersea world of the Indian Ocean.
