Zanzibar Nungwi Village Tour
Nungwi Village in Zanzibar is positioned on the North Western point of the
Nungwi peninsular, about 2 kilometres from the lighthouse on the northern end of Zanzibar.
The location of Nungwi Village is striking, by day, the beach bustles with sunbathing
tourists, swimming and indulging in lemongrass massages, while locals advertise
their tours and trade a range of paintings, sunglasses and football shirts.
As the sun sets the beach starts to buzz with the Zanzibar party spirit.
Nungwi is traditionally the centre of Zanzibar's dhow-building
industry, and, over the last decade, the coastline here has
rocketed in popularity to become one of the island's
busiest beach destinations.
This is a full day tour spent in the north coast top explore, learn and experience
the real local life. Men will be worn in local sarong and ladies in khangas the whole day. You
will meet the local faces always happy at any situation hard to identify there problems
from there smile in uniforms of different colours. Visit the natural zoo giving refuge
to the endangered sea turtles. This is a community project encouraging conservation.
You will see, touch, feed, take photos but do not put fingers in to their jaws.
