Chavda Hotel
The Chavda Hotel is ideally located in Stone Town; this renovated merchant’s
house is a great option for those travellers on a budget. The Chavda is a family-run hotel and is
always well looked after and clean. The hotel has an appealing entrance with oriental lamps and
beautiful wood carved doors. The hotel has 16 well-appointed rooms spread over three floors.
There’s a new bar located on the rooftop where you can soak up ocean views over the tin
rooftops of Stone Town while you enjoy sundowners. Breakfast is served in the
restaurant a floor down.
The Kisimani Bar and Restaurant is located at the lobby level, where customers
are entertained with live music apart from being served with a variety of ala-carte menus for
lunch and dinner. Oriental and local dishes are also served with fresh vegetables, fruits,
meats and exotic seafood. The coffee shop serves bed from 7.00 am to 11.00 am. Chavda
has a well-stocked roof top bar and is ideally designed to give a panoramic view of
the Stone Town, the ocean and the adjoining islands. A wide range of beverages
and mouth-watering snacks are served.
